Could be talking a load of bollocks here, as an unbeliever and not well versed in the bible is new and old light mentioned. From what i recall the only reference to light is an (existing light getting brighter). Does the WT use the term new and old light in there teachings. If the above is correct then the term new and old light is unscriptural, am i wrong !!.

old light, flickering light, dimming light --are some of the sarcastic and fitting terms used by posters on forums to highlight and make lite ( pun intended) of wt making light of truth.
off topic: why is light called light? it weights only a few grams per square mile. (radiation pressure)
There is no scripture about the blinking light because of JW flip-flops which occur frequently.

Amo, thank you. spiritually speaking, the speed of both are the same, since the moment that new light is printed, it is evident that it will turn out to be darkness (needing later new light), although since we are limited by c, knowledge of it will take some time to sink in.
With the internet however, this realization is almost instant, in the case of the latest noo light coming out of New Jersey of all places, the absence of real enlightenment (darkness) is proved even before the information hit the presses (---hit the fan).
There is also a real application to your question in the instant darkness during an eclipse, but thats off topic.
