i am starting this thread as I am curious to your thoughts on this:
imagine the WTS gone, bankrupt or something. 2 questions come to mind:
1) what will happen to the individual JW? will they start a new sect? join some other sects like them? simply scatter? 2) what will happen to this board, when we have nothing new to talk about? will we vanish, -mission accomplished-??

Better question, what happens when they defeat themselves?
They will not vanish in total; wierder groups have survived
They not only will but already have splintered. Have you not heard of the True Faith JWs who began in the 1950s in Romania and are spreading to the West? The Bible Students who split in 1917? Tons of different groups.
If you are an exJW or one considering exiting but not wanting to join one of the other churches or another sect, why not just join our fellowship of exJWs and friends from all belief systems who fellowship (are friends in spirit or spiritually) based on LOVE instead of forced sameness of beliefs, though many do still believe in resurrection for some on earth and others to heaven etc though rejecting the WTS misleadership, the dangerous health misinterpretations, formal disfellowshipping etc?
