(2 John 4-11) ".................For many deceivers have gone forth into the world, persons not confessing Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the antichrist. Look out for yourselves, that YOU do not lose the things we have worked to produce, but that YOU may obtain a full reward. Everyone that pushes ahead and does not remain in the teaching of the Christ does not have God. He that does remain in this teaching is the one that has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to YOU and does not bring this teaching, never receive him into YOUR homes or say a greeting to him. For he that says a greeting to him is a sharer in his wicked works.

(The apostle John was inspired to warn of Christians who have specifically renounced their belief in Christ's coming as God's provision for reconciliation, and correctly refers to them as anti-Christs. Doubting, or even disagreeing with opinions or doctrines of a hierarchy who have a proven track-record of failed predictions and reversals in teachings, is not whom John was stating warranted disfellowshipping and shunning)

1 Corinthians 5:9-13 - In my letter I wrote YOU to quit mixing in company with fornicators, not [meaning] entirely with the fornicators of this world or the greedy persons and extortioners or idolaters. Otherwise, YOU would actually have to get out of the world. But now I am writing YOU to quit mixing in company with anyone called a brother that isa fornicator or a greedy person or an idolater or a reviler or a drunkard or an extortioner, not even eating with such a man. For what do I have to do with judging those outside? Do YOU not judge those inside, while God judges those outside? "Remove the wicked [man] from among yourselves."

(Paul does not even hint at totally shunning wrongdoers. The context and essence of his words clearly convey the meaning of ejecting such unrepentant, willful sinners from the congregation, and henceforth desisting from all social fellowship with such ones.

This is made clear by his words, "not [meaning] entirely with the fornicators of this world or the greedy persons and extortioners or idolaters. Otherwise, YOU would actually have to get out of the world." Just as Jesus stated regarding willful sinners at Matthew 18:17, "If he does not listen to them, speak to the congregation. If he does not listen even to the congregation, let him be to you just as a man of the nations and as a tax collector."

Jesus was not instructing his disciples never to talk to people of the nations or tax collectors, was he? Otherwise, the preaching work would contradict his words. Clearly, absolute avoidance and shunning of sinners (apart from anti-Christs) is not a Scriptural teaching) For a clearer understanding on how perverted the disfellowshipping practice is, read the w81 9/15 pp. 18-20 pars. 11-21 "Godly Conduct Toward Others."

To quote one part, "Jesus could not have meant that his disciples were to refuse to do an act of human kindness". [to men of the nations & tax collectors]

Therefore, since disfellowshipped ones are to be treated as "men of the nations & tax collectors"....................................Hello!!!!!!!

Do not go beyond the things that are written! (1 Cor. 4:6)
