I just realized that the Hebrews got their butts kicked every time. First Egypt, then Assyria, then Babylon, then Medo-Persia, then Greece, then Rome, then many Cathoilc countries in Europe, then, well, some more unpleasant examples in recent times that I feel bad to mention. Who is to blame? Their Omnipotent, Omniscient coach, or themselves, the Hebrews/Jews? If the coach is responsible for all the "losses" and refuses to take responsibility by making up punishment stories, how can anyone trust a coach with such a horrible record? You just never know when His petulant mood is going to turn agaist his own team and inflict another "loss". No wonder atheism is going up.
Who to blame, the coach or the team

hello, never a J*w: Coach or team?: its neither of the 2: it is the fault of the power company. going back in earlier history:
given all the odds, the people of the OT (the book) have done remarkably well, and some of their setbacks were jealous backlashes at their successes.
They also made bad real estate choices (unlike their Isaiah 43 name twins).
Locating themselfs in the narrow fertile corridor between Africa and Asia-Europe, they put themselfs into harms way from the constant power struggles of the emerging empires , KINGS to their NORTH and SOUTH.
(the better choice would have been not the west,- but the EAST coast of their neck of the woods, all that OIL country). to illustrate:
A similar bad location choice is Germany, Napoleon coming through on the way to Moscow, slavic expansion toward the west, squeeced in, and bordering on all sides and sharing sea lanes with a dozen countries and major powers.--------- back to the Hebrews:
Inventing their unique cOAcH , GOD#, was a master stroke as a literary device:
He, *OA*H (the almighty) could not be defeated, but his team could rely on his magic coaching ONLY if they played by the rules, as prescribed by the Aronic F&DS, famous & distinguished SCRIBES. Listen, obey and be blessed. or else- prophets: we told you so!
seriously, against all odds, the jewish people have done well. Some, rather wait for the cOacH to send the promised ONE, now subscribe to the idea, not of a messiah, but an messianic age in which they, as they already have, are playing a major role. (per capita).
# in the quest to understand nature, the creator seems to delight in having searchers do heavy lifting to discover, uncover the principles, laws and driving force, so also
in the domain of worship (an artifact of the human mind)* it is left to creatures, beings, to work their own way, unaided by divine coaching.
as scientific knowledge is power, so is claim of direct help from the big cOAcH in the sky, via stories of spare-rib cloned lady talking with voice enabled snake---- and the fantasis build on the foundation, theme of that endearing tale.
* the story is that Cain and Abel came up with the IDEA of experimenting with RELIGION spontaneously, without prompting from God. ( perhaps they were intrigued by the 3000 year old temples in the neighbourhood) but even that was humans at work. .

designs: yes in face of that cruelty, tragedy it is inappropriate to speak of a coach/ team relationship.
It speaks of an absentee creator, not a caring parent/ father, not even a good samartan in the sky.
even american bombers had the gas chambers/ crematoria of auschwitz in their bombsights (pictures have been published to prove it) but had orders to destroy their target, a tire factory instead.
Two lessons for JWs, WT BtS adherents,
1)The "Coach" will not leave his couch to protect his so called team, even if stories have it that he did it before, and
2) The "Coach' does not flinch at condoning, inflicting atrocities (as we define them)
3) the team has no coach, he is working on more important projects.
