Don't know if it was mentioned already, but now you can be Auxilliary Pioneer with only 30 hours for both March & April.

Just got my hands on the letter from a Service Committee brother this morning. If this was already posted, my bad. I did a quick search, but didn't see anything. Gotta love it though. Shows just how arbitrary pioneering can be. All for what? A quick announcement, the audience claps, statistics are recorded, etc.. It's a joke.

I agree, its pointless. When I was a believer, I had more return visits and door step studies in my 3-6 hr a month routine than many of the pioneers at my hall. Of course anyone with the "IT" factor in presentation and selling can accomplish much in less time.

March and April AND when the CO visits - up to 4 times a year, or maybe even 5 if the CO alters his rotation slightly.

It's only a matter of time until it is permanently 30 for Aux. and 60 for regular.

Theocratic Sedition Thanks for sharing that important information . This shows how Jehovah is richly blessing his servants so close to the end of this wicked old system of things.

Mind you Jehovah did cut the meetings in half, cancel the book study, shorten assemblies and reduce the Watchtower magazine to a pamphlet. The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away.

The members must not be given too many privileges of service or their hearts will burst with joy.

One other thing before I revert back to the mundane things of this world such as, making a living. If you get a chance, check out the Service Meeting for this week. There's a part associated with the letter that's going to be read regarding auxilliary pioneering for March/April. The directions on how this part is to be handled is classic as they're going out of their way to "encourage" ones to pioneer. The directions specifiy that two different types of publishers planning on pioneering during those two months be interviewed. One type is a person who's working full time, and the other is someone with health problems. The first one is no big deal to me as most dubs I know work full time, but the latter is hilarious to me. I mean seriously they requested that someone with health problems be trotted out on the stage for an interview as an example. It's a classic case of, "if this person can pioneer, what can't you?" I guess the powers that be in this organization consider that encouragement.

edit post: thanks Pixel! I don't know how I missed that!!!!! Maybe the mods can delete this thread.

This is actually going to get really bad for active JWs...

The pressure is going to mount, I can see it now.

"C'mon, its only 30 hours, thats just one hour a day!"

"C'mon, its only 30 hours, go out for 7 hours every Saturday and you are already there!"

"C'mon, its only 30 hours, everyone spends at least that much time watching TV every month!"

"C'mon, its only 30 hours, that's 10 hours less than one week at a full time job"

Guilt. Guilt. Guilt. Pressure. Pressure. Pressure. DO MORE DO MORE DO MORE!

The only way to keep them in these days is KEEP THEM BUSY, no time to think, no time for yourself - and to hell with your standard of living or your family.

Expect this shit to be applied HARD every chance they get. Especially on Servants, Elders, and housewives.

My 86 year old infirm mom were asked by the elders if she would like to fill an application out. She did and is thrilled she was accepted by the Service Com.

What if we all put in 30 hours of community service by making our neighbors aware of CULTS? We do it under the guise of field service, who would know? A fake door-bell ring at every door and a print-out is all it would take...
