I'm surrounded by Witnesses!

As some of you remember, I was quite active last year on here, getting out of the cult and in the process losing my wife, having my child kidnapped by wife under supervision of elders, long drawn-out custody and divorce disputes which came out largely in my favor. All of that is nearly over, the judge is signing off on the last pieces of paper.

So what happened since? Got a girlfriend, got into different lifestyles and I am for the first time very happy with my life. I have literally dozens of real, true friends, people I can hang out with without any judgment or backtalking. I'm actually going to meet up within a couple of minutes with ~30 likeminded persons (primarily kinksters, atheists and other "deviants").

So what recently happened is I started seeing a girl and I kept silent a while about my background but eventually it got on the topic... turns out her family was likewise JW's and they have literally shut her and the non-JW side of the family out because they aren't Witnesses, she is actually involved in excorcisms, bisexual etc

Another woman I am seeing at the same time (did I mention I have 2 girlfriends, they all know about each other and 2-3 non-emotional partners whereby I often have 3-somes and 4-somes), her husband was/is also a non-practicing Witness. His mother and family practically disowned him and doesn't talk to them at all but the bare minimum which is a really great advertisement for the religion (NOT). She (my girlfriend and his wife) is a Wiccan, has a pentagram tattooed on her thigh with an altar to a goddess in their home and everything so his mom practically gets a heart attack (and they find it very funny and an easy way of getting rid of her when she comes to see the grandkids and tries to preach).

I have met quite a couple of ex-Witnesses or people related to them at least in my community. Another woman I'm seeing is actually into vampirism and has pentagrams tattooed on her lower back, she loves to scare the JW's when they come to visit her and somehow she is also related to JW's.

Did I mention, I am still not disfellowshipped? Go out there and meet people, a lot of people have been 'touched' by the "loving" treatment of JW's, they are doing a great work at advertising themselves as weirdo's and cultists with severe anti-social behavior.

Sure makes the WT description of those who leave The Truth (TM) seem accurate.

First let me say that if you have child custody issues not settled, you'd better hope your true identity is never found out. I know of a woman in an alternate type of lifestyle (Burning Man) who lost her children because of such things as her ties to such things and her ties to non-christian forms of religion. Love those small-minded small town judges...

I myself have found that these wilder things do seem to have a higher percentage of JWs. I too have been involved with some of the things that are a little wilder than normal everyday clubs. I was involved with burners (burning man community), a bawdy middle-ages themed club (lots of pagans), and the Hash House Harriers (a drinking/running club). Not the wildest things, but way wild and shocking for a praticing JW.

In all of these activities, I met other ex-JWs. And as a percentage of the community, they are a larger percentage than JWs in the population. Which is something like less than half a percent of the US population. So when you've got like 4% of your alternate community as ex-JWs, that is statisically HUGE.

I think after all the repression, some JWs do go to the more extreme to find what they were missing. Or to prove to themselves and others that they aren't that JW person anymore.
