I,am in a group of seniors (60-92), all guitars. Some beginners
a few that have been playing for years. Our last performance a
music instructor told the group (12 members) it,s rare to see a
group of guitar players that also sing. I have been with the group
a year and a half, we are not bad for a group of old folks.
No way would I have learn to play the guitar if I was stiill in the
borg.
So my question, how many groups have you seen, guitars only and
a group our size?
I made add, the group women and men, the women
have the voices.

Whem I left the borg I became very active with music, and I have played in a lot of bands and orchestras. I also have been been on stage in some operas!
I have not seen such a group among adults, only among children/youth that are studying guitar. But I must say it is a wonderful idea to organize such an orchestra for seniors!
Thanks Dismissing. We have performed on two occasion,
a funeral and for another senior group. We have been ask
to play for three other occasions. I guess we sound ok.
What groups have you played with?
I play in a big band, in a smaller jazz/folk group, and in a cover band. But when I left the org I started out as a chorch singer, and I also have sung in a couple of opera productions, but that was a lot of years ago.
