Has anyone taken a MOOC? (Massive Open Online Course)

If so, what has been your experience?
These are free courses open to the public taken via the internet, often offered by universities.

it's just like online school, get the material, read the books, participate as you would be just participating on this web board, take tests etc. i would suggest that if you are interested you better get in on it soon, because i have a feeling it's not going to be around very long (at least in the same iteration)....i think it is nice for ex witnesses because you get the chance to say "i am certified by MIT or Harvard", give you some pride back in your life.
