On my daily surf for new writing jobs I found this that some of you in Toronto might be interested in. If not, disregard. I just thought it might be a little extra income for someone.

    TORONTO LIFE MAGAZINE ( http://www.torontolife.com) is a
monthly publication focusing on local issues and social
trends affecting Torontonians. NINA KOOTNEKOFF, Asst. to the
Editor, says, "While we do use freelancers for 90% of our
editorial content, as a city magazine Toronto Life only
publishes stories about people, places and things in the
'Greater Toronto Area." Canadian writers interested in
writing for Toronto Life can contact Nina for writer's
guidelines; she is reached at [email protected].

    Pierced,

Are you a writer? I've been full-time freelance for three years now, and transitioned into that for the three prior years. It's been rough, but I'm persistent, and more successful than most.

Actually meeting a musician I'm doing a magazine profile on for lunch. I enjoyed the Memorial last night by going out and photgraphing the guy in concert. Interestingly, the singer/songwriter he was playing with is an ex-JW.

Drop me a note. Writers have to stick together. It's a rough racket, and we need all the encouragement we can get.

Seems to be a few writers on this board. While I certainly could not call myself a "writer" as I've had nothing published, it is something I'm looking into. I'd like to be able to supplement my income by getting things published here or there.
