Hello Bangalore!!! Thanks for the info. They are really starting to crack down on people, and many don't realise how these laws can affect them without even thinking about it. Laws, laws, laws, laws, laws. Not just laws, but petty laws. Pretty soon it will be illegal to fart in the comfort of one's own home.

this is nothing compared to what the government already does. if you upload a video they deem "terrorist" you go to freaking prision. if you make a comment about Mr O, you can get a visit from the SS as a kid in high school found out. if you simply own books they consider "anarchist" they raid your house with a swat team, bring you before a grand jury and if you dont talk, you rot in prision.

i used to think "wow things are really getting like 1984", but now getting is no longer accurate. things ARE like 1984. and its just going to get worse. and what i posted is like 1/1000 of the 1984 like things that go down.

i mean how about the fact that DHS claims that they can search or seize anyones electronics 100 miles from any US border. that makes like 1/4 of the country a "constitution free" zone. and they are about to unleash drones in our skies. this shit is over my friends. imo

Look on the bright side, if you live in a democracy

usually there are steps people can take to overturn laws they don't like

Though I don't think this copyright law would be one of them to be changed

anytime soon ( Not a high priorty )

But the people who choose to sit and do nothin' but complain

are considered to be nothin' more than a Bitch

The Bill of Rights was consigned to the rubbish bin by George dubya.

The only part that is being forcibly fought to be kept is the right to but a gun and shoot people.

It's like communist Russia used to be. Only without the filthy commie free health care.

If you're purchasing your products legally then you don't have to worry about this law.

I'm going to have to explore this one in detail. Even in a free society you don't have a right to take someone else's property, which is what copyright violation is. You have no more right to take my writing without my permission than I do to take your car without your permission.

That said, I am worried about fair use rights.
