Just wanted to thank you for posting these....
For very personal reasons they are meaningful to me....and bring back memories.....
It is so sad that such talent has to leave.

The first record album I ever bought was Van Cliburn. I was about 14. One side was Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto 1 and the other was Grieg.

Van Cliburn was (and still is) one of my greatest inspirations. I heard him play about 5 years ago, and he still had his flair and charisma. He also still had his chops.............it was quite an experience to hear him.
