oh for god's sake - edit, edit, edit!

Today's crossword had the following clue: penultimate word in a fairy tale. The answer? Ever, as in "lived happily after." The problem? It isn't the penultimate word, it's the ultimate word.

antepenultimate -- second to last, or the word before the penultimate word

    penultimate -- next to last

    ultimate -- last

    arghhh!

Sorry, I don't have any better things to do. You're right. I should get a life. Anyway, it's not as though I write perfectly. But, I don't publish a fucking crossword, either!!!

"Ever" is usually the penultimate (second to last) word in a fairy tale: "...and they lived happily ever after." I'm not sure what the problem was?

The problem is that I seem to use internet forums to prove to the world at large that I'm an idiot!

Dyslexia strikes again. Of course "ever" is the penultimate word.

And I got really pissed off that the clue was "wrong." Turns out that, as usual, I was wrong.

I should take up drinking, then I'd have an excuse for this kind of thing.
