Preparing Corned Beef in Guinness Beer plus some other yummy stuff is always a hit.

There are a couple of great Irish Bars in Old Town Seal Beach, Ca., right on Main Street.

Don't drink anymore but the crowds are fun.

I live in Pittsburgh. The popular drinking location in Pittsburgh is Carson St. on the south side of town. I think it is in the Guinness Book of World records for most bars per block. 20 blocks of pretty much straight up bars. I went the last two years. There were thousands upon thousands of people. I'm finding out that I just cannot deal with large crowds of drunk people. I get very anxious and irritated. A couple people are trying to get me to come out but I think I'm just going to stay home. Last year I was out for a few hours and was so frustrated, I picked up a case of beer, a bottle of wine, and went home and drank in peace. This year, I've got plenty of liquor available to me. Might pick up a bottle of wine and enjoy my day off from work.

When I drink alone, I prefer to be by myself.

Ah I know the area, we have family in Pittsburgh (Schenley Farms), great restaurants and bars...and really crazy sports fans. I can imagine a few thousand very happy St. Patty's celebrants dancing in Carson Street.

I live in Pittsburgh, too, and Glen and True are Scotch/Irish. But the only
drinking guy I know is Italian.
