Fake it, to make it

I have to say, being a Witness in my past has made me very knowledgeable on faking being a Christian when the moment is needed. Like when you meet some overzealous Christian parent of your child. When you have a customer make a comment that they will only buy from a Christian. When a neighbor is asked for a favor and they want to talk Jesus. When Christ is seen as a myth, and mental comfort food in your own personal eyes and yet at times you have to fake to act like he matters. Having those decades of indoctrination are priceless! I have even been told, "Wow, you really know the lord" and even been asked to come to churches to speak. It cracks me up, as I could equally quote story lines from Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter or even Fifty Shades of Gray. I guess it is true, even the Devil can quote scripture, right? LOL. So I guess I got something from all those years, the ability to keep Christians in check and play off their ignorance.

    Got skill! :)

Living in the secular U.K ,where more people say they have no religion than profess one, it is not such aproblem for us. But I do agree that being in the WT/JW scam equips one with the skills to be "all things to all men".

The only thing I do not bother with any more is to pretend I have any kind of "faith", and I do not allow people to think I go along with their ignorant, mediaeval benighted beliefs, but I always respect the person, I just heap derision on their beliefs.

@free2beme, guy, we birds of a species! I can even quote Thomas Paine and make it sound like something Paul said, all thanks to the WTS and their deceptive quoting!!
