Nice haircut, wonder who his barber is
My daughter had a professor who once said that it was not at all remarkable that Jesus was crucified. The remarkable part is that anybody remembers.
The Romans crucified many innocent people. Perhaps they deserve to be remembered, too. As for Jesus, I'd rather remember him for the Sermon on the Mount than as one of the many victims of crucifixion by the Romans.
Many others have made great sacrifices and/or died to make the world a better place. The only ones of those we honor are the most prominent.
Here's to all the heroes who have died for the sake of humanity. Let us remember.
Couldn't even sit through all 4mins 8sec of that Cheese.
Sorry, but *gag*
The context of the Memorial is a farse. Jesus could not have died on Nisan 14, because he was arrested around the same time the Israelites left Egypt, which was the 15th of NISAN!
But the world, including JES, don't get it.
I suppose there is nothing the GB can do but continue to persist in their traditions until God intervenes. Certainly, they know by now that Christ died on Nisan 20th, not Nisan 14th. They know it's a lie to say Christ died on Nisan 14th, but they also know nobody in the WTS is thinking or looking, so they can get away with whatever false teachings they want.
It's not a Memorial anymore, it's an "Anniversary" now. According to the invitation.
This makes me sad. It stirs old memories, seeing the pictures from the greatest man book and the bible story book... It was a simpler time, if more misguided.
The sad part about the so called memorial is Christ is rejected by refusing the eucharist. To me it apears how I would imagine a satanic cult would act by insulting the traditions of christianity. Barry
