The way the Vatican counts real change, or the way the rest of us do?
I get the sense that this pope will bring in some administrative reform and a heightened awareness of the needs of the poor and disenfranchised.
Hi, emilie. Welcome to the forum. Why is your first post about Catholicism? Have you been or are you a JW?
........ Should be seen and not heard.
Thanks, Paul
Any man who prays or prophesies with something on his head disgraces his head, but any woman who prays or prophesies with her head unveiled disgraces her head—it is one and the same thing as having her head shaved. For if a woman will not veil herself, then she should cut off her hair; but if it is disgraceful for a woman to have her hair cut off or to be shaved, she should wear a veil. For a man ought not to have his head veiled, since he is the image and reflection of God; but woman is the reflection of man.

It would be nice, but I doubt it. I think any change will be cosmetic and symbolic. I think this guy got elected because he will "carry on" as usual by not making real substantive changes. I hope I'm wrong, but time will tell.
No need to wait for a Pope!
Since becoming a mainstream Christian, I’ve gotten used to seeing female pastors and elders and speakers of various sorts. The gender divide is pretty much erased.
