FDS new li(e)ght result about theology, doctrines and regulations

  The new li(e)ght about FDS do make me think about the following:

  1) Previously, the FDS concist of all the anointed. They provided WTS theology, doctrines and regulations in accordance with the official explanation.

  2) Now, the FDS concist of a group of anointed men, working together at HQ, with the name Governing Body.

  So, if FDS version 1 is not right, we can conclude: "Brooklyn, we have a problem!". Because, FDS version 1 was not legalized to provide theology, doctrines and regulations, because they didn't excist.

  Afterwards, all this provided truths have to be declared unlegal, given to us by a not existing institution.

  Maybe the response is "All theology, docrines and regulations are provided by FDS version 2 since 1919", then we can conclude: "Brooklyn, we have a problem!". Because then, the WTS leadership has lied to us since 1919, this body was the centre of this lie for 94 years!

  Pfff. Further questions: can somebody tell us were the official HQ was located since 1919? And since when is FDS version 2 an official doctrine? Since the annual meeting in 2012? Since the july 2013 magazine?

  This is an interesting point, which I've pondered myself.

  Technically, all one needs to do to get disfellowshipped for apostasy is rigidly stick to a belief that is not contained in the publications.

  But, as has been demonstrated by the shambles surrounding the way in which this "new light" has been released, new light evidently has a blind spot between when it is decided on by the Governing Body and when it is finally disseminated to all publishers, which can take months.

  What if a publisher were to go around proclaiming new light to be HIS personal understanding (without divulging his source) just before his elders had read it themselves either on the website or in the publications. Would he be disfellowshipped for it?

  Somehow I don't think it would work that way, but if there was true continuity, it should.

  Actually, that is only partly correct. While the wt taught that, it didn't act it. The anointed outside of the gb were not listened to, had no input.

  A friend of mine who's been in for 40 years told me that the FDS has always been the GB according to the WTS. Doublethink much?

  @cedars, it is a strange proces, isn't it? And what is dreadfull, they think we are idiots and that makes they can change green into black etc. What a mess! And at the watchtower meeting everybody will bla bla "FDS is GB" etc. That makes it for me impossible... being a JW is feeling like living a lie.

  @s, so they were the centerpiece of a lie for 94 years! That's the only thing we can conclude. Partly correct, partly uncorrect, a lie is a lie. (Didn't they say that apostates are partly correct?!?

  Satanus- this change does seem to reflect what has actually been the reality, just a few control the dialogue. This also helps the GB to distance themselves from anything said by a prior Wt. President. Clever by a mile.

  This makes this new light harder to discuss w a jw. When they say that the wt always did it that way, they are correct. However, the wt didn't teach it that way for decades, at least from the early sixties.
