Matthew 7: 17-19: 17 Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.

Matthew 24:50 The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. 51 He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

THE GOVERNING BODY doesn't give a hoot in hell about your child dying in a hospital. The focus is on obeying their policy about blood.

The GOVERNING BODY doesn't shed a tear when a faithful old witness dies! They insist the funeral be turned into pep rally for the joys of promoting

    Watchtower propaganda.

The GOVERNING BODY is cold as an arctic winter when it comes to young men going to prison rather than serving alternate community service in time of war. They will turn your sons into billboard martyrs like a cheap advertising stunt.

The GOVERNING BODY will crush you like a cigarette butt if you complain about child molesting or elder malfeasance or personal woes that get you on the wrong side of their absolute control over your life!

YOU MEAN NOTHING to them--but, by God--they better mean EVERTHING to you!

An ant colony has more compassion than a local Kingdom Hall.

The basic creature comfort and emotional needs of human beings seem to be of only a token concern.

If there really was the kind of LOVE described in the New Testament going on among Jehovah's Witnesseswouldn't you expect it to reflect a similar concern with widows, orphans, prisoners, the poor, etc.?

    James 1:27

    English Standard Version (ESV)

27 Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.

The Watchtower Society was started as a business and not a charitable institution and nothing much has changed since 1879.

Pastor Russell had a personal fortune of about 10 million dollars. He lavished those funds--not on people--but own his own words in publishing

    his own ideas.

And the crowds asked [John the Baptist], "What then should we do?" In reply he said to them, "Whoever has two coats must share with anyone who has none; and whoever has food must do likewise." (NRSV, Luke 3:10-11)

But whoever has the world's goods, and beholds his brother in need and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God abide in him? (NAS, 1 John 3:17)

He who gives to the poor will never want, but he who shuts his eyes will have many curses. (NAS, Proverbs 28:27)

Russell was a SUPERSTAR largely because he could afford to self-promote. He had newspaper columns, he made international trips to give speeches and sermons, he hired book salesmen to distribute door to door. Pastor Russell was the Donald Trump of End Times crackpots!

He never established a charity or social support system because he DIDN'T CARE about local congregations at all!

This attitude of emotional disconnect has carried through the 134 years since the Watchtower's origin.

Jehovah's Witnesses, let us face it, are COLD-BLOODED!

"This world is ending and you are going to die unless you see things our way!"

William Miller, the guy responsible for the GREAT DISAPPOINTMENT, was in love with his own ideas, too.

He misled thousands of gullible Christians into thinking Jesus would return in their own lifetime.

The ADVENTIST movement simply concerned itself with Dates, dates, dates, dates and not human needs.

Russell was a Nerd and rich boy who was like a self-published author who fancies himself a big shot.

Everything he stood for was off-center, contrarian and self-promoting. Most of all it was WRONG WRONG WRONG!

The way Judge Rutherford snatched up Russell's crumbs and turned them into a monstrous machine for his own ravings

tore bible students into shreds of humanity dizzy with confusion and anger.

PEOPLE'S NEEDS meant NOTHING to Rutherford!! In the now-famous Olin Moyle letter, Rutherford's temper, foul language, abusive harassment of subordinates and general demeanor describe a despot loose cannon, not a humble servant worthy of Jesus' only true kingdom interests.

The Watchtower leaders have been self-important, obsessed with crackpot ideas and hellbent on seeing the world end in flames.

MANIAC despots who order people to do as they are told HAVE NO LOVE for human beings or any motivation to ease their suffering.

The Watchtower Society is a business concerned with exploiting the best impulses of humble spritual people

and totally cold about tossing them aside when they've wrung every last drop of energy and money out of them.

They will secretly embrace an organization they call A HARLOT (the United Nations) quicker than they will lend a helping, compassionate hand

to a retiring Bethel worker ending a lifetime of backbreaking toil for slave wages!

    it is worth repeating:

YOU MEAN NOTHING to them--but, by God--they better mean EVERTHING to you!

  • If you want to hear Jehovah speak, listen to The Governing Body
  • If you want to please Jehovah, obey The Governing Body
  • If you want life, humbly and willingly follow – NOT JESUS – The Governing Body

I never did understand why we don't volunteer to help those in need. So what if its only temporary, that never stopped Jesus. Someone I look up to as being a genuine good person left the org, that always made me think. I wanted to be like her. I've already scheduled time to volunteer the next couple months. I want to be someone people look up to for being a good caring individual. I've never felt that way as a jw.

I was sitting in a jail cell with a dozen guys from a biker gang who were all shackled together hand and foot, I never heard from a PO or CO, no encouragement no advise nada. Mother Org. had told them if and when we young guys got arrested for the Draft we were on our own, Mother was right we were on our own.

When I wrote to the GB that we should either start our own Food Banks or support the one's in existence (which meant rubbing elbows with other churches doing good) I was blackballed in the KH.

Complete denial of an actual REAL future robs people of that future because they are waiting on an Armageddon bus that's never coming.

Having a more charitable religious social structure would only improve Jehovah's Witnesses' lives. But, this will never happen

because the leaders ARE NOT INTERESTED IN PEOPLE'S WELFARE in any practical way.

    They want to be worshipped.

The GB want to be the "face of God" on Earth.

My children were more perceptive about the sly arguments the WT had for doing no good for others from the heart. I had taught them about Jesus and we always had an open door for a needy person--Damn, if anyone asked for our help, they sure were in need. Then the JWs seduced me--I still had problems with their policy on a personal level. I wasn't a perfect JW.

Yes, cold-blooded those policies were. They caused the heart to cramp--not open in love at all.

A turning point came for me when a "worldly" friend of mine helped a homeless man stranded at a bus stop. I was shamed it came so naturally to him and did not occur to me at all as a JW with "the Truth"! That really set me thinking in a more practical way. Christianity--if it isn't about humans--isn't about anything!! Human need and frailty are very real issues that cannot be postponed till the thousand year reign. To do that is to be a cruel and cold excuse for a christian.
