I am reading a book that is a transcript of a major international conference of highest court jurists. Justice Breyer represented the United States. The title is Judges in Democracies.

I am limited to smartphone posting for a while. The discussions are wonderful. It Is thrilling to hear a top judge from a non common law jurisdiction discuss their views. American lawyers always discuss the British model. New Zealand, Australia, and Canadians discuss their challenges. The judges talk not only to a legal audience but to a wide variety of people. If I taught high school or college, I would assign portions.
There is one large drawback Imo. The price is outrageous outrageous. It priced as a law book but it should be priced as a general book. I wish I had visited my library or Amazon.
If people can post about pizza toppings, I can post about a cool book.
Certain people would want Justice Breyer lynched for talking to foreigners. Oh, Ronald Dworkin participated. o

I clipped this from the preface.
It looks interesting. Thanks for sharing. I am interested in the idea that the Judiciary are now upholding the constitution over law.

At that price, I'm going to have to put it on my 'want' list...
