  Dont get Christians started on Israel Finkelstein, hes a fraud and doesnot know anything, even if he is a world expert on ancient Israel.

  I like Israel Finkelstein. He is so anxious to prove the Bible wrong, he ends up doing just the opposite. He's a great archaeologist but he is a biased Biblical historian. Even so, his research might not confirm the popular timeline which is distorted by the Assyrian eponym eclipse being dated to 763 BCE rather than 871 BCE, but it does confirm the timeline that the bible establishes which is 54 years later for the time of Shishak.

  And of course you have NO bias Lars?

  He's not out to prove the bible wrong, he's just going where the archaeology points instead of forcing it to fit the bible like they used to do "with a bible in one hand and a spade in the other."

  mP, would you care to elaborate on why he is a "fraud" and doesn't know anything? I read and appreciated the book and thought he was very even-handed, giving equal voice to the opposition.
