  It seems like the Corporation has painted itself into a corner with a huge record of failed predictions. They have managed to weather the bad fall out that comes from such failed attempts at interpeting the Bible, but it can't go on forever. They need to get out of this bible predicting business before it catches up with them they need a new business model that exploits some other area of human gulibility, or maybe sell off all their property and invest in soft drinks or come out with a new brand of ice cream, offer time share rooming at different branches, turn the Kingdom Halls into a worldwide chain of restaurants serving up spicy buffalo wings.

  They could break the Governing Body up into different Franchises:

  Anthony Morris could be the CEO of a big Shoemaker's supply warehouse, David Splane would probably love that idea, Gerrit Loesch could run a surgical supply center/gun store for those suffering with obsessive compulsive disorderes in need of his now famous surgical gun for quick releif from this malady, Samual Herd can open up a school for chefs teaching them ancient secrets about how to feed many with the hands of a few, and Stephen Lett can head up a company in sanitation if he over comes his xenophobia.

  An annulment might work I don't think they can get a scriptural divorce. I think an immunity from prosecution and a golden parachute for each Governing member and a safe house in the Bahamas might get the ball rolling.

  It would I think make the whole belief system irrelevant. If the purpose of all the activity and meetings and FS and yada yada is because the end is coming soon - if that message was dropped, whats the point of of the whole religion? It is an End of the World Religion, they cannot change that stripe at all, even if they know its not true.

  They can do a gradual morph, but It would be real tricky. First they would have to gradually tone down their end of the world articles while at the same time lessening there frequency.

  Have a emphasis on a plan B start to take shape to shift emphasis onto something else that don't have a time expiration attached to it.
