I wanted to offer an argument against the idea that scientists are biased to their own "worldview" so you cant trust what they say.
Imagine you are a serious fan of a sports team. You make it to and watch every game. You will be biased towards your team. So according to that logic does your team ever lose a game? You can interperate why they won or lost but there will be plenty of evidence to conclude the winner.
You will get no counter argument from me we can only seek objectivity and can not divorce oursleves from bias or subjectivity completely.
Science is not a worldview, scientists have worldviews and they are not all the same. The methodology of science will mean though that whatever the worldview of the scientist doing the science is, they will if religious for example, make an a priori decision to limit themselves to a materialist mind-set because they are studying nature which is made out of physical things. If one has a world view that believes in God as some do, they will not bring that into the lab because God can’t be placed into a test tube. Of course some will try to mix up the metaphysical with the physical but it never works, and they do bad science as a result.
