Scottish church enters the twenty first century. Shame they backed down over Israel last week though. Will be interesting how many fanatics leave the church because they can't stand equality and basic decency.

The United Church of Canada had a similar change and division, beginning in 1988, when the Church first took a liberal stand. For a while, they were nicknamed the "Divided United". It's been quite the transformation, and a real example, I do believe. Of course, Scotland is much more "Catholic" than Canada, though we do have our pockets. It's awesome to see these changes happening.
