The piks come from an album posted on Leonid Petrov's FB page.

Leonid was my guide through both traditional and contemporary Korean history last year at Sydney U.

The piks are from an album put together by a Clint Teo of his recent visist to Iran:

Here's one of his photographs of the remains of the ancient Persian capital of Persepolis.

The permission to view needs to be changed on your link ... if it's a photo album, the permission may not be "Public". Looking forward to seeing them, Iran / Persia is a fascinating and beautiful land.

Cool photo fulltimestudent. The album is locked for me, too. I'd love to see the pics.

My good friend and coworker, American like myself, went to Iran last year for a visit and loved it. He's planning to return at the end of the year to study Farsi and possibly teach English.

Thnx for commenting. I'm glad you like the thread (as far as I've got). Thnx for letting me know that Clint's FB page is not open. I'll see if he will make his album public.

My interest was aroused by an image of the castle/palace of Ardeshir the first, the founder of the Sasanian Iranian empire that blocked Romes path to the east.

Alerted to this, I've hunted around and here's an Iranian video of the palace ruins and a nearby (zoroastrian) fire temple.
