Did anyone notice that large portions of the July 15, 2011 “Mentally Diseased” article is being read word-for-word in the 2013 Disctrict Convention symposium talk “Beware of Human Apostates”?

If you haven’t already see this thread which contains an actual recording...

The moron in the recording is actually reading directly from the Watchtower article… word-for-word… yet another perfect example of INFORMATION CONTROL found in most destructive cults…

By the way, did anyone also catch what he said about those who woke up after the 1975 fiasco. Instead of saying: "Some brothers stumbled after selling their homes to pioneer and ending up flat broke", they're saying: "Some brothers thought it was beneath their dignity to go door-to-door."

These bastards have some f++king balls twisting the facts to suit their agenda...

You wrote " these bastards have some f++ing balls..." and the rason for that is they hide behind anominity and so are not personally accounable for the words they write..

This is what really angerd me with ." The Watch Tower Organisation". For an organisation is just a word. it has no feelings and the blame becomes meaningless when " the organisation" is held accountable. i believe in individual accountability.

The truth is any body who reads those words and believes them is " Mentally Diseased"

Religious institutions such as the WTS. are there to create a prevalence of power, control and authority over people.

We have god's spirit and approval etc.

What comes out of that assertive endeavor varies from one religion to another.

If directly exposing the lies and corruption of these man made institutions gets called out as being apostate

and they all do it, is this really surprising given their own direct self serving agenda ?

From that one could say that people who see the lies and corruption of these institutions should been seen as actually mentally healthy

and the people who hold support of these religions are mentally unhealthy or to use the bad grammar of the WTS. mentally diseased.

Well, if you take as their starting point that the GB has a vested interest in putting those who question their authority in the worst possible light, this all makes perfect sense.

If the GB even allowed one little smidgeon of accuracy in their comments about what "apostates" have actually said, the Watchtower house of cards would crumble in a blink. The GB simply cannot afford to respond to what "apostates" have actually said. So, they mount well-practiced ad hominen attacks that cause the rank and file to be extremely suspicious and rejecting of whatever "apostates" attempt to claim.

Rutherford was an expert at attacking others' character and "motives". Indeed, you could say he was particularly vicious in his putdowns. The organization has learnt, however, to avoid the level of rhetoric beloved of Rutherford because it led to a couple of prominent and costly lawsuits. But their greater caution in what they publically say does not leave any room for reasoned responses to actual criticism. It just means there's a very limiting, repetitive regurgitation of predictable views on apostates.

The silver lining, I suppose, is that any JW or associated individual with even a half-active brain who themselves has some doubts, even half-baked ones, will begin to see through the ad hominen attacks and begin to think something smells very, very fishy.

There are many who post here who, at one time, spent years swallowing smelly fish before they realized they deserved better and so went on their own fishing expedition.

That talk is an example of the methods in which Jehovah’s Witnesses are systematically trained. The method of “spiritual feeding” is: read – retain – recite.

Questioning the “spiritual food” or even the way it is dispensed is described as “prideful”. This is why most JWs cannot really think through or reason on the inconsistencies, contractions, and outride fallacies of their beliefs.

As an example, an interesting experiment is to ask a JW if they have ever studied all of the archeological proof that humans have been on earth for at least a million or so years (contrary to their belief of 6,000). The kind of canned, clichéd responses you get is very telling; and are characteristic of someone who has not even looked at any of the evidence, but has been TRAINED what to think on the matter.

The same holds true for their beliefs about "God's channel of communication" here on earth. What rational person would pick up the New Testament and interpret Jesus' words to apply to a 20th century printing operation headquartered in Brooklyn; had they not been indoctrinated to think so?

Well CA, I thought the word for word thing was a form of control to stop speakers putting in their own words just years before i left.

I used to think "Quoting the party line".

i was ale to leave the W.T with out resentment to those that shun me or ignor me.( i am not even disfelloshipped) because i see those shunning as having a sickness. I am sorry if it appears aggresive or rude to the shunner, but i really do feel such behaviour constitutes being " mentally diseased". It also saddens me the W.T can create such unhealty and unloving behaviour in the minds of its members.

Marvin Shilmer is the most competent to do a defintion of the word Apostate. I wish he would do a "word studies" expose how far in Left Field the Watchtower perverts the word Apostate. Most of the Organization would freak out if the World treated them like Apostates from their former religion.

What if Catholics and Protestants and Muslims all said that anyone who left their religion should be killed and treated like the scum of the earth? The Organization would plead to the United Nations and their European counter-part for protection.

The Watchtower want's their converts in Eritrea and other countries set free yet they wish death and evil on converts who leave the JW Organization. Do you see the contradiction in their thinking and how hypocritical they are?
