anyone one have a reference, brief, unbiased, easy reading history of the bible?
bible=best known book to exist, controversial, enigmatic
most people have not read half of it (incluidng jw), dont care what their 'father' wrote to them.
I've read every last verse...and loved it. Truly an inspirational book....hell even non-righteous types like Nick Cave can appreciate the bible in tongue.....
It's appreciation in deed that proves that it is motivating us!

Creator makes world and man
Man does bad
Creator punishes man
Creator promises better times through Ambassador
Lots of people believe Creator and wait for Ambassador
Ambassador comes and promises better times when he comes back
Ambassador pays price for all the bad done by his friends
Friends of Ambassador tell world about him, offering friendship
Everyone waits for Ambassador to come again with better times
Ambassador comes back and gives better times to his friends
Everybody who isn't a friend of the Ambassador goes down the plughole
Ok, so it's a bit over-simplified, and has none of the bits that most consider fun (killing, rape and pillage), but that's the general gist.
