I have a question--Surviving Armageddon

  Ok, I have a hipothectical question.

  I have had this thought going through my head for some time now.
  Now I know some beleive in Armageddon and others well they don't.
  But let's take this route just for the heck of it.

  Some time down the road, Armageddon does actually take place. And
  the Jehovah's Witnesses do survive it. But to their surprise there are other people of other faiths who have also survied it also. And yes, even those who have left the orgization (including known apostates). Now my question is, what kind of reaction do you think they would have seeing people who they have shunned standing right there beside them?

  I have a hipothectical answer.

  The JW's make slaves out of the non JW's and torture us for eternity with their beliefs. AAAHHH, Just shoot me.

  This doesn't sound like a very exciting (H)Armageddon to me. Most of the people would survive. As every Witness knows, 99% of the world MUST DIE. How else would they be able to be so supremist towards normal people?

  It really is such an amazingly beautiful series of interlocking systems that comprise what a human is. It's too bad we're working backwards from the object code, everything would be simpler with the source and a comment or three thrown in.

  The JWs will conclude that the "others" that survive are of a "Crow Class" and will try to force them into servitude to clean up the paradise while the loyal JWs (let the reader use discernment) sit back and enjoy life.

  This of course will result in an uprising in about one day. The JWs in turn will take this and plug it into the "One day is as a thousand years" equation resulting in the JWs thinking that the "Thousand Year Reign" was up and the devil was just released for the final test.

  The JWs will the sit back and wait for gawd to toss the devil and his followers into the "pit" and fret over how terrible the conditions are.

  well, I think it would be incredibly awkward for them particularly if, say, the survival rate in no way reflected that witnesses had the "truth". For example, for every witness who survived, ten non-witnesses survived. Imagine the bummed out feeling they'd have as they sat there realizing that- whether they liked it or not- there was still diversity in the world after armageddon. As our poor witness survivor gathers twigs with his Catholic counterpart, he'll have an eternity to wonder why god made him go door to door every saturday and let a Catholic (or Baptist or Buddhist) survive armageddon without a beautiful Saturday squandered.

  They would just say that they had new light and that's why the other people were there..then they would dust off their book bags and get right to work. Will nothing stop the madness??

  You could find out now.

  Point out to them that God repented of the evil that He said He was going to do to the Ninevites - remember now, repented, not backed off from a threat or something. That's what it says in Jonah, don't accept any bogus interpretations. You don't need to go into how God can repent. They'll probably tell you that He can't change or something, and that's true, He doesn't. He repents when it's the right thing to do, like when He was sorry about men before the flood.

  So ask, what if God repents of what they say He is going to do, and people are fine and 'saved', and even there to greet them and share in the paradise earth - see what they think - tell the elders and check their faces.
