  Whete did the name Christian come from? I understand it came from opposers of those that followed Christ. They were the ones who invented the name Christian. By mocking the followers of Christ they needed a name and they evented the name " Christian" and the followers of Chirist adopted the name.

  So what is a follower of Christ? ....simply a follower. A free of charge follower, a follower with out a " title" .

  Now what can a follower of Christ do? He can breath a sigh of relief that his friends his neighbours the whole world is made up of followers and that he doesnt need a church as a focus of his worship nor even to be called a Christian.

  From what I remember, the footnotes in the Aramaic English Bible, for the scriptures that contain the word Christian/s, say this very thing.

  So there you have it Christians. And if you dont believe it, just listen to Jesus himself. ' i came not to call the righteous but sinners to repentence'

  and i dont think this calling has anything to do with pushing dogma and theirs only ONE WAY. Sorry Adopted Christians there will be no fire and brimstone from the sky for those who dont think like you.

  My Aunts Quacky i mean a Quaker and shes a follower of Christ...but so too is Tom Brown whos shooting heroin into his eyeballs . ..as is anybody who loves there neighbour no matter how generally messed up they are.

  Anyway two weeks on this board and oouch i now have good reason to believe the invitation to " follow me" came from Creek mythology.That the paraballs spoken attributed to jesus did not originate from him.

  So who do i follow what label shall i call myself? Well i think at best i am a voice of reason inside myself. And i believe this voice of reason has the answers if i calm down and listen to it. And what is that voice of reason? well i hope its logic and reason balanced with compassion and love.
