  A fairly interesting talk - he also gave it or a similar one for Bethel graduation talks.

  A few things that stuck out to me:

  He begins by saying that we have to be careful when imitating humans as they are imperfect - but we can imitate EVERYTHING about angels as they are perfect. (And what about the angels that became demons? What about the angel that became Satan? What about the angels that had sex with earthly women?) He does address the angels that had sex later on, but its totaly contradictory.

  He has a large part going on about how humble the angels are - then immediately following this he goes into great detail about how they are like "super hero's".

  I don't remember a lot of details about angels being in the bible. Am I recalling incorrectly?

  Folklore about angels always seemed to be extrabiblical to me. The dubs have a fair amount of it--the angels helping them sort out the goats at the doors, guarding them from murderous householders, etc.

  There used to be a call-in radio piece with a woman who claimed to be able to see and speak to angels and everyone had their own. People would call in and she would tell them what color their angel was, its gender, attributes and special messages for the caller.

  Sometimes I wish there was a ROFL emoticon on this forum.

  Angels are invisible, not to be worshipped, so, why imitate them? If the gb was christian, they would encourage people to imitate jesus.

  the IT"Faith" book chapter 1 asserts that the angel(s) guarding the garden with the tree of life stood guard until the flood unflinching like the guards at Buckingham palace. talk about a boring job while their more mobile brothers had a good time with the goodlooking ladies. but they did not have to twirl the swords like batons, these more more automatically rotating. imitate their faith and patience, stamina.
