The following five references succinctly explain that Christ's sacrifice exactly matched what was lost by Adam. That's why Christ is described as the "last Adam." (1 Corinthians 15:45)
(1 Timothy 2:5, 6) "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, a man, Christ Jesus, who gave himself a corresponding ransom for all...
"w00 3/15 p. 4 Why Mankind Needs a HelperThe scales of justice required a perfect man (Jesus Christ) to counterbalance what another perfect man (Adam) had lost.
it-2 p. 736 Ransom - "The entire arrangement manifests Jehovah’s wisdom and his righteousness in perfectly balancing the scales of justice while showing undeserved kindness and forgiving sins."
w14 3/1 p. 4 What God Has Done for You - "by applying the legal principle of "life for life," he has balanced the scales of justice and made everlasting life possible once again for obedient humans."
w54 7/1 p. 401 par. 12 Requirements for the Ministry - "A perfect human life had to be sacrificed to buy back what was lost through Adam’s sin in Eden."
Here's the slight problem: the Org wants us to believe that an elite group of 144,000 (of which they are leading!) are going to become immortal Melchizedek-type kings & priests in heaven!
Adam was never going to produce such a superior and elevated mass of offspring, so doesn't this cause a serious imbalance in the "scales of justice"?
It certainly produces a contradiction in Paul's words to Timothy about Christ's sacrifice being a "corresponding ransom" - and for all, not just for 144,000!!!!! (1 Timothy 2:5,6)
