One of the legends of Blues and R&B Bobby was born in Rosemark Tennessee and shortly after his family moved to Memphis where his singing career began with local church gospel groups. After a stint in the Army in the early 50s Bobby began touring with Johhny Ace, BB King and Junior Parker. Bobby sang some of the best Blues recorded in the 50s and 60s with I Pity The Fool, Ain't No Love In The Heart Of The City, the much covered Farther Up The Road and the shinning Turn On Your Love Light.

The British and American Rock Bands loved his music and covered Good Lovin, Stormy Monday Blues, That's The Way Love Is, I'll Take Care Of You. Eric Clapton, Van Morrison, Simply Red, the Grateful Dead were all huge fans of Bobby's music and sound. He was 83.

Ain't No Love In The Heart Of The City would influence the O'Jays, Issac Hayes (Shaft sound tract) and Bobby Womack's music.
