I was thinking of how powerful a mass disassociation exodus would be if there would be 1 day out of the year where hundreds or thousands disassociated themselves? I was wondering if this has ever been done in the past? I've read about the Dublin apostasy and James Penton's congregation having over 80 people DA themselves...but other than that not much.

It is surprising there is not more mass exodus but the mind control is pretty strong. Usually it is a single person or couple who leave.

Yeah for apostasy a number of times I imagine. One such case of mass expulsion in Alberta Canada is documented in this book.
