Is ADVENTISM antichrist apostasy?

  For me this is a new topic of interest.

  Doubtless may on JWN will be able to fill in the many blanks regarding parousia, adventism, and date setting.

  In Matthew 7:15, 16 Jesus warned: "Be on the watch for the false prophets that come to YOU in sheep’s covering, but inside they are ravenous wolves. By their fruits YOU will recognize them."

  Can one conclude from the fruits of Adventism, that it is antichrist apostasy?

  It would seem that the gospel calls any and all to become disciples or followers of Jesus right away. This seems to suggest he is already present as in Matthew 28:20: "And, look! I am with YOU all the days until the conclusion of the system of things."

  Adventism however seems to suggest to its followers that we are to wait for a future event/presence, and in the mean time accept and follow VISIBLE golden calves or self-appointed VISIBLE human mediators and their VISIBLE organisations.

  The same as when the Israelites seemingly reasoned: "this fellow Moses (Jesus) has gone to the mountain (heaven), let's get busy making a visible replacement mediator (golden calf), and start setting dates for his return (Millerites)."

  Seven Day has a prophet Ellen White. Her writings should be thrown into the false prophets.

  Not sure if they are antichrist because they speak about Jesus and the bible. So I struggle with what you would call them.Antichrist are people who do not believe Jesus Christ. Muslims and Jewish do not believe in Jesus as the Messiah with many others. Christians are to preach to them.

  Anti Christ go against Jesus. At one time I did think of the JW,Mormons, and Adventist as all anti Christ because they teach another Jesus.

  I no longer think as them as anti Christ because they use the bible and teach about Jesus. Granted it is mixed with doctrines I do not agree with.

  Good scriptures to figure out false prophets.

  Mathew can be apply to all churches because none of them have it right.

  They are all apostates just as Jesus was to Judaism. If there is a truth let the Almighty speak not thru any book but personally.

  Compare Matthew 28:20: "And, look! I am with YOU all the days until the conclusion of the system of things."

  with

  Matthew 24:30 - "Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory."

  How can it be that Jesus would be with the disciples all the days until the conclusion of the system of things [undestood here as the end of the jewish system of things in 70 CE] and yet, in many parables, Jesus portraits himself as going away and then returning?

  The only possible explanation, in my opinion, is that the "parousia", the return and presence of the Lord, started as soon as Pentecost 33 CE. If the writings of the apostles seem to indicate otherwise, it is simply because they didn't understand that the "parousia" was already taking place. Because expected the "parousia" to be a spectacular display of Jesus' presence. So, they kept on expecting something that was already ongoing within the invisible realm. When the end of the Jewish system of things came in 70 CE, they should have realized by then that the Lord "had been with them, every day, until the conclusion of the system of things".

  They had to readjust their expectations and explanations about the nature of the "parousia".
