The WT will avoid using social networking partly because the Mormons are doing it.

I am not expert on the LDS but I understand that all their door to door work is done by missionaries who are financially supported by the church. i e it costs money to have them call. Contrast this with J W's where everyone does it in their own time and at own expense. For WTS,door to door work keeps the flock busy and whatever they achieve is a bonus . So the incentive to change is not there.
Mind you, we have seen such changes in recent times with J W.org and downloaded literature, I would not say that it is impossible

Missionaries pay their own way.
I am not looking forward to missionaries flooding forums and review sites if this is what they are planning.
