Was Paul's understanding of unity based on doctrinal conformity?

"Do You Appreciate Jehovah's Earthly Organization?" The Watchtower of November 1, 1991 makes the following statements:

"Fitly United in the Same Mind"

One outstanding feature of a diamond is its close-knit, strongly bonded atomic structure. Similarly, Jehovah's earthly organization manifests an unmatched unity in doctrine and brotherhood...

Clearly, those who desire to serve God can only turn to the one organization that enjoys Jehovah's spirit and blessing. (p. 30, 31)

Was Paul trying to make the Corinthians all think alike?

The "unabridged gospel" of grace > "unity in Christ"

    Religion > "unity in doctrine"

The former was born at Jesus death, the latter at Nicaea. Opposite outcomes prove them to be mutually exclusive.

(Why does the "true religion" secretly blind its followers to the "Good News" according to Paul, Moses, Isaiah and Psalms?)

Paul did expect everyone to be of the same mind and in unity, but he never preached disfellowshipping for anyone with doubts, nor did he preach mental subservience to every doctrinal whim demanded of human leaders in the congregation. That would be conformity, not unity. Despots and tyrants can't exist without utmost conformity masquarading as unity. Paul said to be tolerant of persons with doubts. The Boreans exercised proper scriptural skepticism. It's in fact a sign of apostasy when independent scriptural scrutiny is forbidden. Revelation 2 teaches us to test those who claim to have apostle-like authority, which the GB certainly claim to have.
