Haven't really considered the angle that they can basically eliminate GB from their vocabulary now if they want. After all, faithful slave is mentioned in the bible already, and if the GB=faithful slave, then why have two terms?
Jehovah and Jesus don't regularly communicate with human beings. Therefore, obey the geriatrics in Brooklyn.
I believe your convention was an exception. The GB = FDS was certainly made clear at the DC I attended.
That being said, they've already convinced all R&F JWs that the Governing Body (big "G" and big "B") is a scriptural concept even though the term does NOT appear in the Bible anywhere!
Now that they've successfully made the two terms (GB = FDS) equivalent, they can drop the GB in favor of the FDS which at least is a phrase that appears in scripture.
That being said, I do NOT predict them dropping it.
Changing doctrines is just part of the illusion of JWs being an organization on the move.
Let me see. My whole family thinks I AM the devil cause I dont sell books door to door. hmmmm glad they dont mention themselves only three times. I guess my child can wrap that blanket around himself. How loving of them
