  You might also want to refer to the Bibles definition of a generation as taken from Job:

  (Job 42:16, 17) "And Job continued living after this a hundred and forty years and came to see his sons and his grandsons—four generations.
  17 And gradually Job died, old and satisfied with days."

  we are told scripture interprets scripture, so if you go by the book of job that says a generation is about 35 years. well jerusalem was destroyed about 35 years later when Jesus said "this generation will by no means pass away" "evidently we can be confident that the end will come in 1949!! [1914 +35 yrs.]
