Has anyone seen the movie For Love of Country: The Arturo Sandoval Story ???
MAN, i just watched it with the missus and WOW ! On top of being a fantastic movie from all angles...script, acting etc it was bazzar how closely it mirrored life within the watchtower's canopy.
I could clearly make the parallel, it was embarasingly obvious to me, BUT my wife who knows not of my activity at this board and does not appreciate my growing discontent with the WT entity, could not see the similarities.
Man there were some classic lines in the movie, i tried remembering some whilst i was watching for the purpose of iterating them here but my memory is betraying me.
Esentially last year's HBO film, For Love or Country: The Arturo Sandoval Story, starring Cuban-American actor Andy García is about the celebrated Cuban musician who struggles to leave his country with the woman he loves and pursue the American dream.
I wonder why she didnt make the comparison ? Well i realise now that the reason is answered within the scope of the movie, specifically manifest in the last few scenes ( egg throwing ). If you are still in the truth and are planning a video night, GET THIS MOVIE and see the responses you get from the other dubs relating to the cuban intlerance and report back please.
