So it seems that most persons just swallowed the'new-light' that was discussed over the weekend...the couple of persons whom I spoke to about it, responded this way:

    1. "We're grateful for these adjustments"..I mentioned to her that these are some huge changes and you can expect more in upcoming years...to which she replied "We can expect these things in the last days, besides, these aren't changes, they're just minor adjustments"...yup...it was a WTF moment for me...so adjustments and changes are words with totally different meanings.

    2. "I'm so confused Kool Jo, do you want us to discuss it together, I really thought this is what we had always beleived in"...I said we can discuss it at a later time...quite interesting stuff.

    3. "This is so refreshing son"..yes...my hardcore JW mom, she would jump off a cliff if the society says so...she's always told me they're perfect.

What questions would you ask to get the more "moderate" JW to think or second guess the new light that came out and how would you go about it?

So if what we believe now is right and true and accurate, then what was it that we believed before?

The change of the 1914 Generation doctrine with the to'te' 1994 confusing article and the 1995 study articles went over the head of many jws.

    1) Too confusing...avoid talking about it...Armageddon will still come on time.

    2) a small group of jws that privately pick it all apart and compare with past statements in the WT publications (some jws left the organization about then).

    3) a medium size group that don't see that there have been any changes

(There are jws today that still talk about people born in 1914 being alive to see the end)

    So true Blondie,

Many are so confused about thier own belief they jus' follow along

How can a Jehovah's Witness consider changes made by the WTS

    to be " Minor "

When many flip flops throughout the history of the WTS

caused them harm and prevented them from opportunities available to them

Like Blondie said. My comment to my still active JW wife, "the org seems very unstable in this 'time of the end'".

The thing is that most people that attend meetings do not know shit about the contents of the magazines... most do not even study... they just swallow it in the hall and not even knowing what they swallowed. Some preach and throw in some mags at the people behind the doors and do not even know the contents since a lot of them do not even read them!

For me in the later years it was like this: I did not read the mags, came to field service, when service was there I was speedreading the contents and added some blah blah... that was it.

Many JW's knowledge is thus that they do not even know the most basic elements that are in the bible but are fiercely stating that they just know it is the truth... not based on wisdom or knowledge of the contents or something... when knowledge hits in it inevitable will be "game over". They do not WANT to have the knowledge a lot of other people have.

It is sad to come to the conclusion that most witnesses do not have any knowledge at all ... not of the bible... and not of the magazines... the only thing they know are some quotes that are drilled home and they stick with it their entire lives.
