Obama - Peace & Security?

  In one of the congregations that I attended some years ago, there was much talk that Obama could be one to initiate the "peace and security" cry that borg teaches about...the brothers who speculated about this were convinced because Obama was a well-liked guy...persons from all over the world seemed to have quite a bit of respect for him...hence they thought he'd be the one...Obama is now in his second term, and no "peace and security"...did anyone in your congregation/area had this same view?

  Obama was a well-liked guy.

  Hitler was a "well-liked" guy also....right up to the point he initiated a "false flag" operation and burned down his own parliment, The Reichstag, which catalyzed his plan to invade Poland and launch WW2.

  Even by WT's own jacked-up theology, there's no basis for speculating a world leader being a "nice guy" is a requirement for any supposed declaration of peace and security.

  I've suspected for some time that it's a subconcious (and maybe not so subconcious) desire for it all to be over...

  "Please, for the love of God, cry 'Peace and Security!' already, so the End will finally come and we can finally stop going door-to-door and counting time and attending multiple meetings a week and unneccessarily making our kids feel like oddballs in school and having to read all the publications whenever we have a free moment and all the myriads on myriads of other things that JWs have to do (or not do) whether we think they're silly or not just to have the approval of the WTS..."
