Had a visit from a friend that I grew up with in my old nieghborhood. She had brought up a time when we were about 5-6 years old:
We were sitting in the rain watching the drops hit a puddle. She turned to me and asked: "Do you know where rain comes from"? I said: "I think it's when God is flushing his toilet".
Ah yes. KID LOGIC! That proven test of scientific knowledge that only kids can understand. The deep philisophical thoughts we all had, or see our children profess.
What's some of your best KID LOGIC tales? Be they yours, or your childrens?
My son wanted a Sony Playstation 2 for his 16th birthday. Only trouble with that idea is that the price tag is about $690 (taxes included) in Canada, and it's not something that we would buy exclusively for him, because he has 2 sisters (and 2 parents!) who might be interested in using it too.
Anyway, in an effort to convince both his parents of its value, he made a list of what all the separate components would cost:
DVD player $450 CD player $200 PS 1 games $100 for 2 (you can see where this is going right??)
Anyway, at the end, he was convinced that the savings from buying PS2 would outweigh any expenditure by close to $100.
That may be so, but it still costs close to $700. And it was still MY money that he wanted to spend on it so of course it's a good deal as far as he's concerned.
