I think, some time ago, I posted my history here. I'm a long time out of the WTBS, and very happy for it. But I could use some advice.

My mother's health is declining fast. We had a very bad relationship after I was DF'ed, but as her cognition declined, she seemed to forget - which was convenient as I was then asked by social services to step in to make sure she was looked after.

The brothers and sisters are now nowhere to be seen, as she's not capable of getting her hours in, with the exception of a few very elderly widow sisters, and one 'decent' elder with whom I share a financial power of attorney.

Recently, she has stopped reading her magazines. This would be a great thing, except that I think its mostly a symptom of mental decline. Its the same with watching television. Unless she's watching one of her favourites, she loses focus. And as hard as it is to say, I have wondered whether the audio recordings might encourage her to engage.

It's been ten years since I was in a Kingdom Hall for my JC, and I don't know what's on offer. There were bible tapes, and I seem to remember the magazines being on tape, but maybe I'm wrong. I know the local congregation record the Sunday meeting. Does anyone know what I might be able to ask for?
