I recently found out several old friends have left and been on their own so to say.
It gave me an idea to check up as best as I can on my old friends because we all know many are alone when they first get out. If you find any, you'll also have a special connection of having gone through the same thing, etc.
I just recently reconnected with one, poor guy has made every mistake in the book as regards trying to fade. Still isn't DF'd at least.
Great reminder, End of mysteries, since it's easy to get trapped in the "poor, me" thinking that JWs nurture, so thinking of others and reaching out is a healthy step in personal recovery and growth for them AND for you.

Of the 25+ young people very many of which were raised in the mind prison that were my contemporaries and in my congregation only 2 remain in the truth. They all but exploded out of the organisation and never went back.
That cong lost an entire generation in the space of a few of years. To this day it has never quite recovered.
Bah! I wish. Maybe one day.
Dismember= in the cong that I have faded from in less than 18 months they lost just under 10% of the congregation. I know this figure to be correct because I was taking note of it. I know at least half of those walked out for the same reason I did. Lack of fellowship. Last service year the country where I reside showed a modest decrease. I'm just asking myself why it wasn't more
