Is The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society , truly a Not For Profit Organization ?

  The WTB&TS have long been engaged in real estate projects buying and selling property,and making a profit on it . ( world wide )

  In the last few years millions of dollars have been added to the WT coffers over such sales in the USA alone , not to mention what has been added since then

  For many years up until only recently, the WTB&TS charged people , for obtaining the Watchtower magazine and Awake magazines at the doors they called on.

  The WTB&TS has a system in place where kingdom Halls that have been built mainly by volunteer labour and donated materials by giving folk , are now deemed to be needed a facelift . ( even if they need it or not )

  The WTB&TS then enforces the congregation to obtain the loan from the society ( No one else ) with x amount of interest to be paid for the duration of the loan.

  Its a win win for the WTB&TS isnt it .

  Annual conv is on this week here in Perth, West Australia--wonder if they will have ATM to take donations on credit.?

  What surprised me was the fact that in australia you still had to pay for the literature! I was shocked to hear from this and it shows the true nature of the society!

  I do not think they do but they told me on here on JWN that it was untill very recently! So... while in Europe they gave as a reason that it was to provide everyone with the valuable food etc etc etc they were still charging money in australia since they did not get tax rebates or something.

  It is just a filthy company!
