JW Leaks has published the two Court Judgments (March 28, 2013 and September 27, 2013) which resulted in an Order allowing the Sydney Children's Hospital (Australia) to administer blood transfusions to a 17 year old Jehovah's Witness dying from blood cancer.

The child was represented by Watchtower lawyer, Vincent Toole, who lost both cases, i.e. as Counsel for the Defendant (child "X") in the initial hearing; and later as Counsel for the Applicant (child "X") in the Appeal Hearing.

The Watchtower has often mentioned their amazing success rate with court cases for freedom of rights. They conveniently are far less vocal about the number of cases that they lose, like these.

January is his birthday. You think he will make note of the day? I wish things were different, but I know that medical care is a very personal thing and it is his right to die over this ridiculous issue while he is probably eating meat that isn't kosher or halal. THAT is what angers me about the WT teaching. It is so very hypocritical.

Any former JWs DFd for eating meat that wasn't bled properly? I bet there is not one. ANYWHERE.

Without the transfusions, the boy has an 80 percent chance of dying from anemia

I can relate to all that. Poor kid.
