Are JW's going to turn into a basicly 3rd world religion?
Hardly any new converts in western land , and lots of children leaving or not taking it seriously.
People in pourer countries need a hope , lack education , and maybe look up to people in western lands and their ideas.
So will Bethel soon be in Africa?

They blew their chance for an easy entry into African politics when they DFed a Zambian presidential candidate last year. Just think, if he'd not been DFed AND had won, they'd have had a chance to become the national religion!

The third world is fertile ground for the Watchtower message: a happy future, food for all, perfect health, social equality etc etc are themes that appeal to Africa's downtrodden. And the Society is milking it. Power will still be resident in the West. That, curiously, adds to the invisibility if the Society in the eyes of the African brothers; Brooklyn is far away, may be closer to heaven.

    Steph,
that the Society will enter into politics if it won't be public knowledge is something I don't doubt. Any little advantage, they'll be willing to grab. But I think the Zambian presidential candidate was not himself a Witness; his wife was. Of course, she was disfellowshipped; and that good woman has continued to stoutly support her husband.

They had to do that. The bible tells us that the road leading to everlasting life will be narrow...not many will be on that road. If an entire nation were to become Jehovah's witnesses, and they were to increase in status to the point of being a top religion, then they couldn't lay claim to be being the ones that Jehovah was using in the last days. I have even heard admission by fellow dub that if they were ever to become a "popular" religion, then he would know that Jehovah wasn't using this org. I think the guys in charge realize that they can't become too big. Anyhow, that just my 2 cents.

    Got a question?

Remember the Daniel that was in the lions Den that later became a high ruler in, where was it, Babylon? Was that considered political, he being in a ruling position and all. Was he married? If so maybe they disfellowshipped his wife, because I don't remember reading about his wife. hahahahah

    So true, so sad.

And yes the JW will become a 3rd world religion, and of course Brooklyn will say , "Does not Jehovah use the foolish rather than those 'wise in their own eyes?'"

    Translation: dumbasses apply here.

Funny how "Jehovah" gave us the ability to procreate like rabbits and have free will. Unfortunately, now that I've let you reproduce and populate your planet I can only leave 1/1000 of you alive. Interesting stuff.

Dear Lord, please save me from your followers.

I just read on a website yesterday, don't remember where it was, that:

Jehovah's Witnesses are increasing in all the same places that AIDS is increasing.

    Go figure...
