Okay, so I may be in the minority, but I love igoogle and how I have everything at my fingertips I use (news, weather, bookmarks, toolbar favorites, etc, as well as personalized themes). It is going away very soon and I dont know what to replace it with. I have checked out various suggestions on discussion sites but none sound good. I have tried chrome and hate it, maybe I just cant figure out how to navigate it yet, but I'm afraid to click on where it says to transfer my bookmarks. I am afraid I'll lose everything. Any computer experts out there with helpful suggestions? Thanks

I've been using igHome but it seems a little slow making updates....
I already had Yahoo and My Yahoo and use it for other things as well.
Has anyone tried Protopage?

Thanks for the suggestions, I will check them out. Why do good things have to change, I know from reading other sites I am not the only one who uses igoogle!

I use Firefox but when I switched browsers I gave up my bookmarks.

Question: what did we do before browsers?

Read books?
Alternate answer (for old-school nerds only): We dialed into BBSes.
This thread is actually very confusing because it's about a portal or personalized start page but then we're talking about browsers, which have nothing to do with portal pages.

Thanks Blondie, I have tried ighome, it looks pretty good. Have to study more about keeping my toolbar, bookmarks, etc.

I don't like the search on ighome. It's google, but it's awkward, not as seamless as on igoogle. I'm trying out duckduckgo for a search engine, but their home page has no goodies like news, sticky notes, weather. I tried a couple of others as well, igoogle was just better organized. Too bad it is ending soon.
