Watchtower's redefinition of Generation as Population

Still trying to make sense of the Watchtower's private redefinition of the word "generation."

The Watchtower appears to have replaced the meaning of the word GENERATION with that of the word POPULATION.

So "This GENERATION will by no means pass away" becomes interpreted as "This POPULATION will by no means pass away."

Additionally, the population is considered over an interval of time, not a specific instant in time.

    Comments anyone?

Well, that solves the problem of stringing up their Christmas light generations. For now, that is. Until those idiots try going back to tying "a generation" to the plug that is in 1914. You get so many lights up, and they reach the plug at the end of the first string. So they had to plug in another set to reach farther, kicking the can down the road. And now they are simply, for the third time in only 5 years, changing the rules again.

I will solve the problem permanently. According to the LIE-ble, "a generation" referred to those who were alive when Jesus supposedly uttered those words, and it was fulfilled in 70 CE if one believes the lie of Christi-SCAM-ity. However, since the whole LIE-ble is fiction, Jesus and all, it really doesn't matter. As such, it makes no sense whether "a generation" is defined as such. And as such, there is no reason to be tied to the plug at 1914. And no need to add another lie to hide the first lie.
