Last week I went from door to door, I actually got suggested to go to this territory. My daughter was with me as well, she is used to going from door-to-door with her mother I suppose so I got her into a dress, got dressed up myself, told her about a simple introduction to use and how to politely go away from someone's door. I got some really great responses! People were actually waiting for us and giving us donations, nobody yelled at us nor slammed the door in our faces, there were no angry dogs at all. In the end, my daughter collected an entire bucket full of donations.
I really hope my experience will be published in the next yearbook together with some pictures of me and my daughter. She was dressed as a spider princess, I was dressed as Hades (very similar to the one depicted in the Revelation book). The donations consisted primarily of food items so I can't really shove those in the contribution box and the Governing Body is probably too old to eat Laffy-Taffy, I think I may have to redistribute some of these donations (Acts 4:34, 35)
Then this weekend we went to the 3 day convention site. It was awesome! It was truly a "Noah's ark". Elephants, tigers, lions... and people played with them, it was just like those depictions of paradise. The music was great and my daughter was dancing in the isles. There were several drama's and stories being told. All the children behaved very well, everybody there was friendly and happy, there was no fighting and everybody entered and left the site in orderly fashion with virtually no trash left behind.
I truly think my daughter enjoys these door-to-door activities as well as the conventions I take her to. Her mother takes her to the same places but with her, these same activities appear very dull.
