We've had our first real snow-storm of the year, the roads are slick, and the wind, biting. I'm wearing my new sweater, half Merino, and I have hot chocolate in my thermos. My thoughts turn to all things warm and fuzzy. Here's my top feel-good, be-good sites:

Snow might be pure and nice and clean...so it makes me feel good when I see it first thing when I wake up. Then I think about the infastructure in the UK! Everything closes, work, school, play, travel. The UK shuts down.

I like the sentiment though. We have lots of pictures of snowmen over the years, bring back fond memories

I still get that excitement at the first snowfall that I got as a kid, we had such fun !

I concur with Kate, the U.K is a joke in this kind of weather, one snowflake falls and all the public transport grinds to a halt.

This is because we often get away with little or no snow. The other major problem is that the majority of car drivers, at least down South, do not have a clue how to drive in ice and snow, so the silly buggers get stuck, abandon their car, and then snow-ploughs cannot get through.

    It is a proper shambles.

Thanks for the feel good thread jgnat, always appreciated, a bit of positivity and happiness. And isn't "pay it forward", not just a story, but a wonderful idea ?

jgnat, no snow here yet which is not usual. But we have had hot cider and sit drinking around the fireplace. We started our season shopping at Big Lots...I think my hubbie found a favorite store.
